How to glue non-woven wallpaper?

Remove impurities from the wall (remains of wallpaper, bumps, grease, oil paints, etc.). The surface should be smooth and clean.

The lengths of our photomurals are contiguous on a roll. Cut the lengths apart and place them next to each other in the correct order. Depending on the size of the wallpaper, you need a bit of space for this. You can find the number of the track and the orientation directly on the wallpaper. The lanes are to be arranged from the left starting with the "1" to the right.

A constant room temperature between 18 and 20 degrees is ideal for wallpapering. Draft has an unfavorable effect. It's best to close the windows.

Cover everything that shouldn't get paste stains when wallpapering. If you have skirting boards, you can remove them if possible. This will give you a perfect bottom finish later.

Which wallpaper paste is the best?

To attach the wallpaper, you need wallpaper paste for non-woven wallpapers from a hardware store or specialist retailer. This paste has a high initial adhesion. The dry strip of wallpaper should not slip off the wall. Mix the non-woven wallpaper paste according to the product description. Unlike paper wallpaper, you now paste your wall evenly. It is important that there are no places where the paste collects. You can use a short-pile roller or a paste brush for this. The non-woven wallpaper paste must be applied thickly.

How do you wallpaper non-woven wallpaper?

Immediately after pasting the wall, you can wallpaper your first strip. Do not wait too long, otherwise the paste will dry and you will have to repaste your wall. Take enough time for the first track so that it does not have to be corrected. This will make it easier for you to attach the remaining strips.

Press your strip of wallpaper down lightly and then unroll it downwards. Smooth out each panel from top to bottom. A wallpapering roller is better suited for this than a wallpapering brush. Smooth out any air bubbles to the nearest side. Make sure that no paste gets on the picture surface or the wallpapering tool.

Glue the strips parallel butt to butt. Make sure that the motif is glued flush.

Almost there - the wallpaper is sticking to the wall

Now you mustn't get impatient. Your non-woven wallpaper needs to dry. It is important not to rush this. As with a good yeast dough, your wallpaper now needs a constant room temperature. Please avoid draft or temperature change.

After drying, you can carefully remove protruding edges of the non-woven wallpaper with a sharp cutter knife.
